Hi! I’m Yufan Cao, a second-year Ph.D. student in EECS at UC Berkeley (BAIR), supervised by Professor Yun S. Song.

I work on biological language models and evolutionary genomics — building generative models that capture how sequences evolve and function. I’m interested in AI systems that help us understand the natural world and improve human lives 🧬🤖
